An attractive antique diamond ring. Set with an old mined cut diamond of approximately 0.30ct in a traditional starburst setting that seems to radiate from around the stone. The diamond is high quality with a white colour and minimal internal inclusions.
The antique diamond is set into a traditional wide shank that looks fabulous for any occasion. The ring has been re-shanked at some point, and whilst the head of the ring is 18ct yellow gold, the reverse of the band has a rosier tone and tests to only 9ct in purity. Likely this was a gentleman’s piece and a larger ring size, so in order to size the ring down it required a new shank. However, this cannot be seen when worn and just forms a beautiful part of this timeless ring’s history.
