An original 1930s diamond engagement ring that has come to us from the stock of a retired jeweller, which has set un-touched in a safety deposit for decades.
This timeless ring is set with a good-sized transitional cut diamond of approximately 0.50ct. The diamond is held in beautiful square bezel setting, which harks back to the Art Deco era in charm and makes the half carat stone look even bigger in the setting. The diamond is a lower clarity grade but no inclusions can be seen with the naked eye and the stone remains incredibly lively and fiery.
To either side of the central diamond are delicate split shank shoulders, studded with eight cut diamonds in a setting that feels almost organic, like a vine growing around the ring. The ring is offered in excellent condition with only light tarnishing to the metal to note.
