One of the most fabulous art deco pieces we have had the pleasure of handling. This beauty packs a serious punch with a centre marquise cut diamond of approximately 0.80ct surrounded by a calibre cut halo of baguette rubies and set into solid 18ct white gold. 
 
The central diamond is jaw dropping, with a high colour and packed full of fire, so your hand truly sparkles like something else when it is turned. When graded with a loupe the diamond is a low SI2 clarity with some feathers and whisps running through the stone, as well as some carbon inclusions; however none of these compromise the beauty or durability of this spectacular piece and it is 100% eye clean (meaning that you cannot see any inclusions with the naked eye). 
 
Marquise stones are often known to have a “black tie” effect, whereby there is a dark band that sits parallel across the stone in the shape of a bow tie. However this is not a problem at all for this wonderful, antique, stone, which is bright, white and sparkly.
 
Although we drool over the centre stone it is only accentuated by its amazing original art deco setting. The rubies are a deep pinkish-red and have all been meticulously hand cut in order to create this bespoke ruby halo that fits around the centre stone. Unusually for a piece of this age there are no chips or flaws to the rubies, which are in near perfect condition. 
 
The ring is truly striking and would make the perfect engagement or right-hand ring. It sits low to the finger in traditional art deco fashion and allows for a very easy wear, you will forget you are wearing this piece until someone compliments you or you are captivated by its sparkle.
