A gorgeous vintage ring in heavy 18ct yellow gold. With hallmarks for Sheffield, we date this piece to c.1970-1990 despite clear art deco influence in design.
The ring centres around a large natural sapphire estimated at 1.80ct in weight. The deep blue cabochon set perfectly in a custom bezel setting and framed by a rectangular halo which has been set with approximately 0.50ct of high quality carre cut diamonds. We just love the combination of the carre cut stones with the smooth oval cabochon to the centre, it gives a truly unique look and we are obsessed.
There are some light surface scratches to the gemstones and metal, which is expected with age, but overall the ring is in excellent condition.
