An exceptionally fine star sapphire ring with a diamond halo. Fully hallmarked for London 2006 this mesmerising ring focuses on a large natural sapphire estimated at 13.75ct. The light cornflower stone has been cut en- cabochon to reveal a natural asterism that dances across its surface as it catches the light. The sapphire has an unusually high crown that gives it a unique domed appearance we just love. The sapphire is overall in excellent condition with natural inclusions and only a few surface blemishes noted when viewed with magnification. 
 
The impressive sapphire is accented by a glittering halo of eight cut diamonds, which give the piece an antique feel. The sparkling diamonds are well matched with their high colour being enhanced by the white gold metal. The diamonds are estimated to total 0.40ct in weight and are offered in good overall condition with only a few small areas of wear visible with a loupe. 
 
The ring is complete with a delicate scrolled gallery that really adds to the antique feel of the ring, and a timeless yellow gold shank.
