Fully hallmarked for London, 1851, this is one of the most fabulous antique rings we have seen for a while. Styled in the shape of a shield the head of the ring supports an exquisite old mined cut diamond of approximately 0.40ct. The diamond is exceptional with a high colour and VS clarity, bright and white and fiery, with no chips or damage to the stone, despite its deliciously high crown.
Whilst there is no doubt that the diamond is the centre of attention, this exceptional ring has something to give at every angle, with delicately engraved floral shoulders with the remains of black enamel detailing running through. Although there is wear to the black enamelling on the head and shoulders of the ring, this does not detract from the beauty of this special piece and is very much reflected in the price. The only other wear to note to this 170 year old piece, is a slightly oval shank, which makes it hard to size accurately, however the ring is around a size M. If you would like the ring sized at all we can try and alter it back to being fully round.
An excellent addition to any collection, this historical ring is a true collectors item.

PLEASE ADD RING SIZING AS A PRODUCT TO YOUR CART
We offer a ring re-sizing service by our antique specialist for a small fee, starting at £40.
Most of our rings can be resized, but if they can’t we will stipulate this in the description.
As a rule we will only alter a ring by three UK sizes. If you would like to size a ring more than three UK sizes (either up or down) please contact us on a case by case basis and we will try and accommodate you as best as possible.
If you have any product altered or resized it can still be returned, however you will then be refunded the cost of the ring, minus alteration & postage costs.
Sizing takes approximately 1-2 weeks.
