A beautiful sapphire and diamond ring modelled in 18ct yellow gold and fully hallmarked for London 1902. This exceptional ring is over 120 years old, set with its original old cut gemstones in a fine Edwardian design. The ring holds a trilogy of natural cornflower blue sapphires, hand cut in the early 1900s in a traditional old mined cut. The sapphires have some surface wear to their table facets when viewed with magnification but otherwise are in excellent condition. The same can be said for the four small old mined cut diamonds that sit between them, bright and shiny with only a few small nicks to be seen with a loupe. The ring is finished with a beautiful scrolled detailing to the shank, typical of early 1900s pieces. A truly special little ring.
