A lovely antique ring in solid 18ct gold, assayed for Birmingham 1907. The centre of the ring holds one of the nicest antique sapphires we have seen in a while. An old cut gemstone with the perfect vibrant teal tone to its body colour. The antique sapphire is estimated at 1ct in weight. In regards to wear, there is some softening/ nibbles to the table of the sapphire and one chip to the kite facet/ girdle of the stone, visible with careful inspection.
Sat either side of the sapphire are four chunky old cut diamonds. The diamonds total an estimated 0.32ct in weight with the largest stones being 3.5mm in diameter. The diamonds are bright and sparkly with no significant wear to note. A beautiful and unusual ring that would be the perfect addition to your daily jewellery wardrobe.
