Show us a juicy cabochon and we will always swoon, and this fantastic art deco ring has it all. The central stone is a gorgeous deep teal coloured sapphire cabochon weighing an estimate 2.10ct, with a high crown that really emphasises the colour of the stone and flashes with the light. The sapphire has been set into a heavy, hand crafted, platinum mount, which comes to a very respectable 6.8g. The mount being set with a further six old cut diamonds to the shoulders, estimated to total just shy of 0.50ct and with good colour and clarity, To feel the heft of this ring and see the stones is to understand this was a quality piece, made with attention to detail and no cost spared. 
 
Wear to note is some very superficial pitting to the base of the sapphire, which is only obvious under magnification, and a very light remainder of what would have been some glorious engraving to the shank of the ring at one point. Again, it is by no means obvious that this ring is missing its engraving and it looks stunning as is, but you can see remains if you study the piece carefully, which you will be wanting to do constantly as it is so special.
 
The ring is a relatively small size (I ½) currently but could take a reasonable resize up to approximately and M (US 6).
