A striking antique aquamarine and diamond halo ring. Dating to c.1900 this elegant ring centres around a large cushion cut aquamarine. The powder blue natural gemstone is estimated at an impressive 3.50ct in weight with a spread of 11mm on the finger. True to its age the aquamarine has a number of small nibbles and nicks to its hand cut table facets, however these are not noticeable with the naked eye and do nothing to detract from the beauty of the ring. 
 
The cushion cut stone is framed by a scalloped halo of rose cut diamonds in contrasting white gold. The antique stones glitter perfectly in the light with no obvious eye visible wear, however with magnification a number of stones are noted to have small chips consistent with the age of the ring.
 
The ring is finished with a finely engraved under bezel for that ultimate romantic touch, and a timeless yellow gold shank. The shank is slightly oval in shaped, which we suspect is the result of a previous re-size, currently the ring fits around a UK size L but could happily be sized up if requested.
