A fine early 1900s sapphire and diamond cocktail ring in 18ct white gold. The centre stone is an inky blue cushion cut sapphire, estimated at 5.50ct in weight. The natural gemstone is a lovely deep teal colour as you lift it up to the light, complete with beautiful natural inclusions that help us to unlock more about its past. 
 
The captivating centre stone is surrounded by a chunky halo of old mined cut diamonds which themselves total an estimated 1.10ct. Each diamond has been intricately hand set into its own bezel setting that gives the ring a romantic scalloped edge. Overall, the antique stones are well matched with bright fiery facets and no eye visible wear, however one or two of the diamonds are slightly lower in colour than the others, not immediately noticeable but a trained eye would pick up the difference. Under magnification a few chips can be seen to the diamonds, as well as their natural inclusions, but this is to be expected with age and not eye visible. 
 
This fine ring is finished with a fleur-de-lis style detailing to the shoulders and a simple white gold band. A true heirloom piece that would be the perfect engagement ring or cocktail ring.
