A beautiful diamond and sapphire cocktail ring c.1980. The striking deco style piece features a large sapphire to the centre, estimated at 5.50ct. The deep inky blue gemstone has a beautiful flash of royal blue as the light bounces off its cushion cut facets, accentuating its natural colour zoning and fine internal inclusions. The sapphire is held in a timeless four claw setting, unfortunately one claw came to us broken but our expert antique jewellers have carefully re-tipped this to bring it back to its full glory.
The centre stone is flanked by gorgeous gemstone set shoulders, comprising of a central band of brilliant cut diamonds framed by a boarder of intricately faceted sapphires to make the perfect deco inspired band. The gemstones and mount are offered in good vintage condition with only superficial wear to note.
