A truly beautiful vintage sapphire ring in 18ct gold. The centre stone is a deep green, almost black, natural sapphire in a desirable oval-cushion mixed cut. The dark stone has beautiful hexagonal colour zoning running through it with bands of green and yellow, which can be see when you hold it up to the light. With an impressive spread of 13mm x 11mm the sapphire is estimated at approximately 6.50ct and no evidence of heat treatment has been observed. The sapphire is offered in good overall condition with the only wear being some small nibbles to the girdle.
The sapphire is held by diamond studded leaves to each shoulder. The sparkling brilliant cut diamonds shining beautifully as the ring is turned in the light, adding a 1920s feel to the vintage ring. Set low to the finger this ring is large but comfortable to wear, the perfect engagement ring or cocktail ring to add to your collection.
