A unique amethyst and diamond ring from the early to mid 1900s. The centre stone is a vibrant purple natural amethyst weighing approximately 2.70ct. The square shaped stone almost resembles a French or prezzi cut in its faceting, which allows for its regal purple colour to truly shine.
The amethyst is accented by silver topped diamond studded shoulders in a unique pattern that looks like ribbons crossing over one another. The design of the shoulders really does make this piece special, beautifully crafted and finished for an elegant and feminine design. Under magnification some small nibbles can be seen to the gemstones, but otherwise the ring is offered in excellent condition.
