A lovely original ring dating to the late 1800s. The head of the ring is set with graduating half pearls in a simple east to west design. Surrounding the pearls is a beautiful boarder of baby blue enamel that encases the creamy white gemstones, finishing with a geometric enamelled design to the shoulders. The enamel is in excellent overall condition with only very slight wear, almost unheard of for a piece of this age. The same can be said for the pearls which, apart from some potential historic glue-work and light nacre loss, are offered in good condition. Indeed, the only major wear to note is a deep scratch to the band, which could be a weakness in the shank. Due to this and the enamelling we would prefer not to size this exceptional piece.
