A beautiful late Victorian emerald and pearl halo ring. The centre of the classic ring is a vibrant light green, natural, emerald. The emerald is a paler green, high-quality gemstone, with a stunning glow that seems to come from within. There is some light age-related wear to the surface of the emerald visible under magnification, but otherwise it has clearly been perfectly protected by its fine multi-claw setting that surrounds and highlights the traditional octagonal outline of the stunning stone.
Surrounding the emerald is a fine halo of creamy pearls set into rich 18ct yellow gold. The pearls are overall well matched, slightly varying in colour from a creamy golden lustre to a very light pink. The pearls are overall in great condition however there is some light nacre loss to some visible under magnification with one pearl having significant nacre loss but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the piece.
The stones are all set into solid 18ct gold, which has been expertly tested to confirm its purity.
