A beautiful antique sapphire and diamond band from c.1880. The head of the ring inlaid with a deep greyish-blue sapphire and two square old mined cut diamonds. The centre stone shows wear to the table facets under magnification but otherwise the ring is offered in excellent antique condition.
To the inside of the shank there is a finely etched series of numbers, which is consistent with the piece having been pawned in the past, and intriguing look into the rings rich history.
