A delightful antique initial pendant with the letter M. This special piece may very well have royal connections as it bares a striking resemblance to Princess Margret’s personal insignia, used in all official correspondence of the late Princess Royal. Although we have no provenance of this it is not out the realm of possibility this was owned by a member of the Royal Family or someone with a close personal connection.
 
The pendant has been truly exquisitely made; centring around a stylised letter M, intricately set with calibre cut natural sapphires. The skill of cutting the sapphires to perfectly fit and setting them in such a delicate piece is truly one that makes us think this belonged to someone of great importance.
 
Surrounding the letter M is a halo of glittering rose cut diamonds in gold, topped with an intricately made crown, also gem set with diamonds and rubies. A small but incredible piece of jewellery that is sure to take pride of place in your collection.
 
The only wear to note is a small plaque applied to the reverse of the pendant, which we believe was added later to convert the piece into the pendant it is today, it is likely the piece originally was a small brooch or pin.
