  • A beautiful 18ct gold Mizpah ring from 1893. Crafted in rich 18ct gold the band of the ring holds the embossed letters to spell out ‘Mizpah’, a word taken from an ancient Hebrew prayer it literally translates as ‘watch tower’ but was commonly used in Victorian jewellery to ask the Lord to watch over someone and keep them safe. This would likely have been a very sentimental piece of jewellery, possibly a gift between lovers or friends.

This beautiful piece is offered in excellent antique condition with only a small join showing evidence of a historic re-size.
