  • A large locket back pendant dating to the late 1800s. The hefty piece is formed of base metal with a gold gilt finish, which is common to see in pieces of this era. The centre stone is a vibrant red paste cabochon, which perfectly simulates a juicy almandine garnet; perfectly framed by knotted gold boarder. To the reverse there is an original glass panel, which can be carefully removed to reveal a locket compartment within. Offered in excellent condition.
