A beautiful original opal heart ring in platinum. The opal centre is a playful natural gemstone with intense play of colour that dances across its polished cabochon surface, showing you every colour of the rainbow in a gorgeous blue-green matrix.
The opal has been masterfully set into a bespoke platinum setting and held secure with claws to the top and bottom, as well as claws to the side which leads to a split shank studded with natural diamonds.
The shank is incredibly detailed throughout, from fine wreath-like engraving to the shank to intricate hand pierced gallery detailed with stylised hearts, all highlighted by a fine milgrain edge. There is some light surface wear to the gemstones and metal visible with a loupe, but overall the ring is offered in excellent condition.
