A timeless antique cluster ring in 18cct yellow gold. The ring centres around an oval cut aquamarine in the perfect powder blue colour, framed by ten yellow gold claws and a halo of chunky old mined cut diamonds. The antique diamonds are bright and fiery with lots of life in their hand cut facets. Totalling an estimate 0.65ct in weight, the diamonds perfectly compliment that baby blue aquamarine with their adamantine lustre.
Dating to c.1910 the ring is in good condition for its age, with inspection by a loupe revealing only a few small nibbles and one chip noted to the diamonds. The metal however has tarnished somewhat with age and in our opinion could use a professional polish; we don’t like to do this ahead of a sale in case the buyer doesn’t want to lose the antique patina.
