A timeless early 1900s diamond halo ring. The centre stone is a deep red garnet in a square mixed cut; the wine-coloured stone set in a bespoke bezel setting that highlights its silhouette perfectly. Overall, the garnet is in good condition for the age of the piece, but there are a few very small nibbles and some softening to the table facets, which is consistent with the piece being worn and loved. 
 
Surrounding the garnet is a square halo of old mined cut diamonds, which follows the profile of the centre stone. The sparkling antique stones total an estimated 0.86ct in weight and are truly beautiful examples of this desirable diamond cut, each stone meticulously hand faceted to produced high crowned diamonds that perfectly catch the light when worn. Under magnification there are a few small chips to the diamonds, as well as a replacement brilliant cut diamond to one of the shoulders, but overall, the diamonds are exceptional quality: bright and white with minimal internal inclusions present. 
 
The ring is finished with a timeless yellow gold shank and low-profile gallery, both indicative of the early 1900s when this ring would have been crafted.
