A truly exceptional pink sapphire and diamond boat ring, c.1900. This impressive boat ring holds a pretty bubble-gum-pink sapphire, thought to be synthetic, to the centre. Offered in good overall condition with just one surface reaching inclusion and a small chip to the pavilion, the cushion cut pink stone is a beautiful fiery pink that looks exceptional next to the two large diamonds and yellow gold mount.
Flanking the pink centre stone are two old mined cut diamonds, each estimated at a quarter of a carat in size. The large diamonds are the perfect old cuts with high crowns, open culets and lots of fire. Intern ally the diamonds are free from any major inclusions, with only a chip to the very corner of one diamond to note in terms of wear. The high quality stones truly making this piece a collectors item.
The stones are mounted into a classic mount with a scrolled gallery that perfectly swirls around them, whilst giving the ring a comfortable, low, profile.
