A beautiful ring that had us at hello. This antique piece has a real belle epoque essence with the large navette profile of the ring having swirls of old mined cut diamonds running through it in an abstract pattern. The unique style of the ring is unlike any we have seen before and holds an elegant femininity we just adore. 
 
The ring centres around a collection quality amethyst in a chunky yellow gold bezel setting, which we believe may be a more recent replacement as the cut and style of the stone doesn’t quite marry with the antique diamond mount that surrounds it. However, this has been done well and is both sympathetic and flattering to the original piece, bringing it back to its full glory once more. There are a few small nicks and surface reaching inclusions to the gemstones visible with a loupe, but on the whole the piece is offered in excellent antique condition. 
 
The exterior of the shank bares the French owl hallmark, stamped on second-hand pieces or precious metal imported into France that is of uncertain origin.
