An original 1920s full eternity ring. The intricate channel set ring houses perfectly matched carre cut rubies, each stone painstakingly cut and colour matched to form a continuous gemstone band. The rubies are synthetic stones, which was common of the era; new onto the market synthetic rubies offered customers the opportunity for the finest gemstones at a fraction of the cost and were favoured in designs such as this, where colour matching of natural stones proved difficult. The antique stones are in near pristine condition with only minimal wear to note, not all too common in this style of ring which can be prone to chipping or loosing stones with time. The fine band is finished with delicate hand engraving to the metal, the perfect cherry on top of this exceptional band.
