A beautiful early 1800s wide band ring in rosy 18ct gold. This heavy piece features three high crowned diamonds set into the beautifully patinaed metal. The hand faceted diamonds total an approximate 0.75ct with the centre alone estimated at 0.40ct in weight. The antique stones have a typical tint of colour to them, almost cognac in some lights, which blends beautifully into the rose gold that surrounds them; the stones are bright and lively and offered in excellent condition.
The antique ring shows only superficial wear to the metal, expected with age. We do suspect the ring has been re-shanked at some point in time as there is an ever so slight variation in the tone of gold from the head of the ring to the back of the shank, however this has been done well and resulted in the piece being a very wearable smaller size L ½.
