An unusual ring in 9ct white gold, assayed for London 2007. The head of the ring set with a light honey coloured citrine, which has been intricately engraved with the intaglio of a centurion. The natural gemstone is held secure by four claws at each compass point of the stone and accented by small rose cut diamonds to the shoulders. The ring is offered in good overall condition with only wear to the diamonds and what appears to be the loss of a makers mark to the inside of the shank, likely the result of a previous sizing.
