A unique cornflower sapphire and diamond ring from the late 1800s. This beautiful ring bares an oak leaf hallmark to the outside of the shank, which is the 15ct hallmark for the Netherlands.
The head of the ring is a cobblestone of cornflower sapphires and diamonds set in a unique stylized lozenge shape. Each natural gemstone is set in its own handmade collet and secured with multiple claws to make this stylised lozenge shaped ring. The stones are all antique cut and on the whole in good condition with minor wear and chips to the facets and natural inclusions with one diamond having a surface reaching inclusion diagonally across its surface. A truly unique antique ring that you won’t see again.
