Small but mighty, we just love the unique, antique, diamonds cuts in this c.1900s boat ring. The centre diamond is the most mesmerising French cut diamond in a pale-yellow colour. This stone is flanked by two further French cut stones to one side, and two old/ transitional cut diamonds to the other. We believe the transitional stones to be replacements, however they are of the same era and fit well into the style of the ring.
Strangely some claws surrounding the diamonds are in a white gold opposed to yellow gold. These white gold claws appear to be alternating in a pattern so it is unclear whether this is a design choice, but we believe they may have been added at a later date to increase the durability of the ring.
A darling antique ring packed with history and character, the perfect addition to any collection.
