An exceptional emerald and diamond cluster ring from the early 1900s. This timeless piece features a central square cut emerald with a vibrant light green colour that reminds us of peppermint. The emerald has been set with a platinum closed backed setting that sits like a bowl beneath the pavilion, reflecting bright metallic silver back through the stone, the result is an incredible glow from the emerald that will make you catch your breath. As brittle stones emeralds often show signs of wear and there are some abrasions and one small chip to the antique stone, however these are only visible under magnification and not to the naked eye.
Surrounding the emerald is a halo of good-sized rose cut diamonds. These fiery antique stones are perfectly mismatched in size, each stone making up an individual petal to the floral shaped cluster. The diamonds are G/H in colour with clarity grades ranging from SI1 – I, however with the naked eye they are bright white and sparkly with no eye visible inclusions. Overall the diamonds are in good condition with no eye visible flaws, however one stone is slightly chipped. Set either side of the halo the shank is accented with a small 2mm old cut diamond in a bezel setting that makes the ring look as though it stretches across your entire finger.
This is an exceptional ring that would make the ideal right-hand ring or engagement ring.
