This exceptional art deco piece has us completely obsessed over here at SHJB. Dating to around 1900-1930 this fine emerald and diamond ring is of Swedish provenance, with the tell-tale three crown hallmark to the inside of the shank.
Modelled in 18ct white gold the ring centres around a glowing baguette cut emerald set into a fine bezel setting and encircled by a double halo of chunky old mined cut diamonds. Many similar pieces would have used rose cut diamonds in the halo as they offer a similar affect for a smaller overall carat weight, therefore saving on cost, so it is lovely to see rows and rows of true old miners in this ring.
The gemstones are in exceptional condition overall for being over 100 years old, with no eye visible damage and only a few small nicks and surface reaching inclusions visible with magnification. This is truly a collectors piece and a ring that is sure to be the highlight of your jewellery collection.
