An exceptional antique enamel pendant in the form of a pansy. The exquisite piece has been beautifully formed with petals of 18ct gold, which are just as detailed to the reverse as they are to the front, meticulously hand detailed with enamel in purples, white and yellows to look as though you are holding a real pansy in your hand. To the centre of the pendant is a fine brownish-orange zircon in a simple claw setting, a true stand out of the piece. Finished with an enamelled split ring bale there is no element of this pendant that has not been considered. Dating to c.1900 this 120 year old piece is overall in excellent condition however, there is slight some enamel loss to the front and a very small area of lead work to the reverse, although neither do anything to detract from this oh so special piece.
