A truly exceptional diamond and 18ct gold ring from the Victorian era. At the centre of this timeless piece is a sizable old cushion cut diamond; weighing approximately 0.38ct it has a bright white colour and exceptional clarity grade that means this antique stone sparkles in all lights. The diamond is also free from any chips or wear to its crisp facets. The square cut diamond is held securely between six claws in a classic buttercup setting, the tension of the claws perfectly levitating the diamond in place.
Set into a wide band the diamond is almost outshone by the addition of beautiful, engraved shoulders. The hand engraved gold has patterns of leaves and swirls that work their way around the diamond and down the sides of the ring, encircling your finger in foliage. Some of this engraving has light wear but overall this special piece is in excellent condition.
