A truly breath-taking antique enamel ring from the 1800s. This exceptional piece is modelled in solid 18ct yellow gold and weighs an impressive 7.3g with smooth sides and a tactile feel as you slide it onto your finger.
To the centre is a deep teal, natural, sapphire, which is surrounded by a halo of sparkling rose cut diamonds in a frame of gold. There are then further diamonds to the shoulders of the ring, these set in sparkling fans of gold that point up towards the head of the ring and emphasise the centre stone.
All the gemstones and diamonds are perfectly mounted onto a deep blue backgrop of enamel that has been carefully applied to the head of the ring and is offered in pristine condition, rare to see for a piece of this age.
The ring has likely undergone a significant reduction in size at some point, which has led to the shank of the ring being oval shaped. In our opinion this would fit a size M approximately as it is now (US 6). Due to this we wouldn’t recommend sizing the ring down any further.
Due to the exquisite enamel work any re-sizing of this piece is undertaken at the buyers own risk.
