  • One of the most special art nouveau rings we have had the pleasure of buying. This one of a kind ring dates to c.1900 and supposedly has French provenance as it was bought from the sale of a fine French estate by an antiques dealer on the continent.

The centre of the ring is a large old citrine with the most glorious deep honey colour to it. The warm amber of the gemstone is highlighted with flashes of gold as the stone is turned on your hand and is truly mesmerising. Offered in excellent condition the citrine seems to melt into the finely crafted yellow gold shank.

Whilst the centre stone is in itself stunning, the focal point of this important piece has to be the fine goldwork that twists and grows around it. The entire head of the ring is comprised of intricately placed flowers and leaves that seem to grow around your finger and stone, delicately surrounding it with a garden of gold. Each component of this ring would have been meticulously hand sculpted and position to make up the final piece, which is true perfection.

The ring is offered in excellent antique condition.
