A true once in a lifetime ring. This exceptional piece centres around a large black opal. The vivid natural stone has the perfect deep blue matrix with stunning flashes of blue and green dancing across its surface as it is turned in the light. The opal is in beautiful condition with natural colour patches and inclusions running through its unique matrix.
 
The opal is framed by a halo of chunky old mined cut diamonds. The diamonds have been expertly laid out to give a graduated halo we just adore, terminating with a large elongated cushion cut stone to the base of the opal. Estimated to total 1.33ct in weight, the antique diamonds are overall well matched despite a slight discrepancy in colour and are packed full of that old mined cut fire we all love. There are a few small nicks and surface reaching inclusions present when viewed with a loupe but overall the stones are in beautiful antique condition.
