Navette rings are universally flattering, as they elongate the finger and add excellent finger coverage. This is a particularly fine, and rare, example, set with a fantastic blue-green marquise tourmaline to the centre. The colour of the tourmaline looks like the deep sea and changes from a blue to green depending on the lighting and angle. 
This spectacular, antique, stone is in excellent all round condition, despite a few light patches of surface wear, visible under magnification. 
 
The central tourmaline is surrounded by a boarder of twenty two rose cut diamonds, which sparkle beautifully as the ring is turned. The diamonds are lower quality but have lots of life, there are a few superficial nicks to the diamonds, which can only be seen under magnification. 
 
The ring has been crafted from 18ct gold and, although a date stamp is lacking, we would date this piece to c. 1890-1910.
