Emeralds pieces are always incredibly popular, with high quality stones, such as this, always drawing in a lot of admirers. This fantastic emerald and diamond gypsy ring is sure to turn heads. The emeralds are that sought-after bottle green with very few inclusions to note, something only found in very top-quality stones.
There is some surface wear to the emerald stones, and one emerald is slightly chipped, but this is expected with antique emeralds as they are fairly brittle stones, and none of this is noticeable to the naked eye.
If the emeralds weren’t enough, they are sandwiching a pair of chunky old mined cut diamonds. The diamonds are approximately 0.30ct each and a high colour and clarity. Again there is a small chip to note on the table of one diamond, but this can only be seen under magnification.
The stones are all set into a handmade 18ct gold band, which weighs a hefty 6.3g and tapers from 6.5mm to 3mm. The ring is not hallmarked but likely dates from the mid- late Victorian era.
A truly wonderful piece and one you will have with you from years to come.
