A beautiful late 1800s garnet cabochon ring in solid rose gold. The head of the ring has likely begun life as either a stick pin or brooch but has been converted into a ring with the addition of a split shank, sympathetic to the style and era of the piece.
The head of the ring is set with a large natural garnet, faceted into a smooth pear-shaped cabochon. The sizable gemstone measures a respectful 22mm in length and offers some excellent finger coverage to the wearer. To the centre the garnet is drilled with a fine high carat gold star, which is set with a nice sized rose cut diamond. Offered in truly excellent condition there is only a tiny nick to the diamond to be seen under magnification.
Due to the unique shape of the ring, it is hard to accurately size, but sits between a UK J-K at present. The ring should be able to be sized significantly if required.

We do not offer refunds on altered pieces, so please make sure you love your new piece before you purchase.
Sizing takes approximately 1-2 weeks.
