A stunning c.1920 stick pin of a classic Art Deco design, modelled in 2.1g of platinum and set with a well sized tapered baguette diamond and two flanking sapphires.
The central diamond is the star of the show, sitting at approximately 0.23ct in weight and a slightly off white and graded as an H colour with an SI2 clarity, although there are no eye visible inclusions, the lovely, antique, stone is packed full of fire. The diamond is complimented wonderfully by two deep inky blue sapphires either side, there are a stubby tapered baguette cut and their shape is mimicked in the outline of the piece. The sapphires have excellent clarity but do have some surface wear to their facets, however this is excepted with age.
This lovely pin has French provenance and bares an owl hallmark to the pin itself, which is stamped on re-assayed, second hand, goods.
Although we love the pin as is, we understand that you may want to convert it into a piece that is a little more wearable than a traditional stick pin. This piece would work wonderfully as a ring, bracelet or even necklace, contact us for a quote on any of these options and we will be happy to help, or enjoy this beautiful antique as is.
