A unique Victorian garnet and turquoise ring. The centre of the ring is set with a sizable garnet cabochon, its cherry red body colour emphasised by the gold reflecting through the stone from the closed backed setting. Surrounding the garnet is a fine halo of beautifully matched turquoise cabochon stones, each stone with that ideal vibrant blue we so love. The stones are on the whole in good condition with only two small chips to the turquoise stones and superficial wear to note. We believe the head of the ring may be older than the band, which appears to have been added later; however both elements of the piece are antique and the conversion has been well done.
