A beautiful Georgian conversion ring in solid 18ct yellow gold. The head of the ring dates to the early 1800s and was likely a stickpin or brooch before a later shank has been added to make it into the ring it is today.
At the centre of the piece is a faceted quartz gemstone that has been backed with golden foil that makes it look as though it is melting into the metal surrounding it. The quartz is held in a classic Georgian collet and encircled by an intricately carved halo of flowers and leaves. Offered in excellent antique condition with only a few very small dents to the button back to note.
