A beautiful Georgian conversion in in 9ct gold and silver. The head of the ring likely came into this world as a brooch with a locket centre, however it has, at some point during the late 1800s- early 1900s, been lovingly converted into a striking ring. The locket has been replaced with a vibrant natural opal in a hand-crafted silver collet that perfectly slots into the vacant centre of the ring but can easily be removed for you to store your deepest secrets beneath.
Surrounding the opal compartment is a halo of vibrant, flat cut, garnets in closed back settings. The natural gemstones have the perfect deep raspberry purple hue that is only accentuated by the foil backing that lies beneath. The stones are offered in excellent condition.
A sizable and striking antique ring that is sure to be a firm favourite in any jewellery box.
