An unusual Georgian piece, set with an elongated foil backed topaz that is orientated across the finger, east to west. The topaz is a gorgeous autumnal pinkish golden brown, accented by the rose gold foil backing set behind the stone in its closed back setting, something typical in Georgian jewellery. Under magnification you can see that the surface facets of the stone are a little worn, however this doesn’t detract from the magical cut and colour of this piece and is not noticeable with the naked eye.
It is likely that this unusual piece began life as a stick pin, with the split shank a later addition. However, this is an old conversion, possibly undertaken in the Victorian era, and has been wonderfully matched to the original setting.
There is some discolouration to the gold under the split shank and some wear to the rear of the shank where there is some light thinning. But nothing that wouldn’t be expected with the age of this unusual Georgian piece.

If you have any product altered or resized it can still be returned, however you will then be refunded the cost of the ring, minus alteration & postage costs.
