We adore an enamel piece at the SHJB, it is a gorgeous way to add colour and details to gold, without compromising the quality of the materials. This beautiful, Victorian, royal blue, puffy heart, is in gorgeous condition. Enamelled on both sides with a girdle of buttery yellow gold left around its centre and set with a creamy white seed pearl to the centre, framed by a diamond of gold. The hand-painted enamel is in near pristine condition, which is rare of a piece of this age, however it does appear that the enamelling may have been repaired at some point to the reverse, not noticeable but needs to be mentioned. Just a wonderful piece that will be welcomed into a jewellery collection of any size.
