A truly unique ring thought to be converted from a vintage scarf pin. The piece weighs an impressive 11g, with a high domed head accented with royal blue enamel. The enamel adds the perfect backdrop to the diamond studded stars and swirls that surround the vibrant opal that is set to the centre. The natural opal measures an impressive 7mm in diameter and exudes colour from every angle, rainbow flashes dancing across its cabochon cut surface and playing with the rich blue enamel.
 
There is some light surface wear to the opal, along with a subtle area of damage to the enamel (only seen when light bounces off the surface at certain angles) but aside from this and discolouration to the unpolished metal at the rear of the ring it is in beautiful condition.
 
The ring is currently a small size, approximately, H/I with a shank that is oval shaped from what appears to be a historic resize. However this could take a significant re-size up to around an O or maybe even larger.
