An exceptional sapphire cocktail ring in 18ct gold. Dating to c.1900 this exquisite piece is set with a deep inky blue sapphire to the centre in a delicious cushion cut. The large natural stone is estimated at 11ct in weight with a sizable spread of nearly 15mm x 13mm in size. A beautiful stone the sapphire is in good overall condition with only a few nibbles to the facet edges and one small chip to the pavilion to note. Internally the sapphire boasts beautiful natural inclusions with straight colour zoning and feathers.
 
The exquisite sapphire is held in a bespoke multi claw setting that keeps it secure in its yellow gold collet. Accented by antique diamonds to the white gold topped shoulders this is a truly timeless piece. Under magnification a number of chips can be seen to the diamonds but these are age related and do not detract from the beauty or durability of this fine piece.
