• A large engraved locket c.1900. The locket is modelled in solid 9ct rose gold, which is unusual to find as most lockets of this era were gold back and front with a mixture of base metal and precious metal combined to look like a solid piece.

The front of the locket is beautifully detailed with a delicate paisley pattern of flowers and swirls dancing across the surface. To the inside of the locket there is a removable gold ring that allows you to safely store your precious photographs. Unfortunately, the original glass has been lost to time, but this doesn’t detract from the beauty of the piece. The only other wear to note is that the locket closes quite smoothly without a click so can be opened easily. Overall it is a stunning piece that would look beautiful worn on a long or short chain and holding your precious memories.
