An unusual pear shape ring set with a vibrant raspberry toned garnet to the centre. The playful garnet is held in a closed back collet that reflects a metallic flash back through the stone when turned in the light, highlighted by a chunky pear-shaped silver halo that surrounds it. The garnet is in good overall condition for its age, which is c.1900-1940, with only a small chip to the girdle and superficial wear to the table facets visible with a loupe.
The ring is finished with a solid gold collet, which boasts beautiful cut out detailing, and a timeless yellow gold shank. A really unusual piece that is sure to be the star of your collection.
